Travelers Announces Significant e-CARMA® Enhancements at RIMS 2013

New Claim Management Dashboard Lets Customers Easily Analyze Open Claims

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 22, 2013-- To provide business insurance customers with an easy and efficient way to manage claims and potential risks, Travelers today announces significant enhancements to its e-CARMA® suite of risk management information tools and services, adding a new Claim Management Dashboard and an expansion of the capabilities of its Risk Analyzer dashboard. Developed by Travelers National Accounts and Risk Management Information Services (RMIS), these upgrades will soon be available to all e-CARMA users.

The new Claim Management Dashboard is fully interactive and provides one stop for customers to analyze open claims, as well as an interactive listing of claims where recent activities may have a significant impact on overall loss costs. Using the open inventory view, claims are summarized within important categories and organized by distribution across Travelers’ adjusting offices, states or any level of a customer’s organization. Functionality allows for drilling down from summary information to the individual claim files where detailed information can be found to help determine next steps.

Given the success of the e-CARMA Mobile Risk Manager®, the open inventory view of the Claim Management dashboard is designed to run not only on computers, but also on tablet devices such as iPad®, nexus®, and Galaxy Note®.

“We have greatly simplified the claim management process by combining all common claim milestones and analysis in one mobile friendly interactive dashboard,” said Michael Strietelmeier, Vice President, RMIS at Travelers.

In addition, to help customers even better understand risks within their business, Travelers has updated its Risk Analyzer Dashboard to connect loss analysis outcomes to actionable solutions. The enhancement identifies the most prevalent loss cause, injuries or ergonomic cases and connects it to Travelers Risk Control publications, technical bulletins, webinars and training modules, all related to cause of loss and part of body outcomes. The dashboard also offers industry peer benchmarking statistics.

“Travelers e-CARMA suite of risk management tools and services continually evolves to simplify the delivery of information to our customers, enabling them to make sound risk management decisions,” continued Strietelmeier. “Whether their role is claim management, risk control or risk management, the new Claim Management Dashboard and enhancements to the Risk Analyzer Dashboard help our customers to be more effective.”

e-CARMA® is the front-end to Travelers suite of RMIS products, which has allowed customers to report claims instantly, access documentation in the claim process and review key information. The easy-to-use system offers a robust set of tools including customizable dashboards with intuitive navigation that significantly enhances the users’ analytic capabilities.

Current and potential customers and independent agents and brokers attending the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) 2013 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Los Angeles this week will have the opportunity to preview the e-CARMA enhancement and new Claim Management dashboard at the Travelers Booth, #721.
