Travelers Names Joseph Tracy President of Its Inland Marine Business Unit

HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Travelers Companies, Inc., (NYSE: TRV) today announced that Joseph Tracy has been named President of Travelers Inland Marine. Mr. Tracy was previously the Chief Underwriting Officer for the Inland Marine business unit and has been with Travelers since 2006. Mr. Tracy succeeds Richard Rowley, who has 36 years of experience and founded Travelers Inland Marine in 1982. Mr. Rowley will continue as a senior advisor with the organization.

Prior to joining Travelers, Mr. Tracy was the head of OneBeacon Insurance's Inland Marine operations. He also has significant experience in Property, Ocean Marine and Boiler & Machinery insurance from the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and Kemper Insurance Companies. Mr. Tracy graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
