The Travelers Institute Chooses Austin for Next Insurance Education Symposium

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Travelers Institute, the public policy division of The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV), will host its Consumer Insurance Education symposium today at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. The event will provide community members with information that can help improve their understanding about home, auto and other personal insurance policies. Higginbotham Insurance and Financial Services and the Austin Chamber of Commerce are partnering with the Travelers Institute for the event.

A panel discussion will focus on different types of insurance coverage and steps that individuals can take to help mitigate or prevent damage from unexpected events. In addition to Woodward, panelists will include:

The Consumer Insurance Education symposia series, launched in 2013, is a national tour that is part of a broader company-wide consumer education program that leverages Travelers’ 160-year risk management expertise.
